Paul Rimmer - Head Coach

Paul is a Mixed Martial Arts coach from Liverpool, UK. Paul currently trains fitness enthusiasts and professional fighters in Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Strength Training and Conditioning. To date he has guided the careers of some of the most succesful Mixed Martial Artist on the UK scene.

Paul spent the majority of 2001 living and training at the Next Generation fighting Academy in Irvine CA training with Chris Brennan, Jeremy Williams, Alex Serdyukov, Rick Estrada, Bao Quach, Gerald Strebendt, Adam Lynn, Buck Greer and many other top athletes. During this time he honed his skills in grappling. Paul returned to the U.S.A and spent a lot of 2003 training at the Next Generation Fighting Academy and competed a lot in Submission Grappling and BJJ tournaments.

In 2002, Paul founded Next Generation and has been a full time professional coach ever since providing day time and afternoon classes, small group sessions, one to one coaching, specifically tailored womens and childrens classes plus health and well being advice.


Marc Morrell - Judo Instructor

Marc is a Black Belt in Judo and teaches both with and without the kimono.

Chris Firth - Boxing Instructor

Chris also runs the 051 Boxing Gym and has coached 3 world champions, 7 ABA champions and many other professional amd amateur boxers.

Phil earned his BJJ Brown Belt under Chris Brennan in 2010.


Danny Withington - BJJ and Boxing

Danny Withington is a Mixed Martial Artist from Liverpool fighting out of the Next Generation MMA Gym. Danny began Boxing at aged 14 and got involved in MMA after speaking to Cage Gladiators Emile Coleman when he was 21. Danny has graduated LMJU with 2 Degrees and is currently studying for his Masters. Working full time as a PE Teacher, Danny trains every day and teaches Boxing at Next Generation. Danny has his first fight was against Russel Burns in 2008 on the Caged Gladiators promotion and has since gone to 3-0-0 in his professional career.
